(23 october 2020 – hong kong) vinda international holdings limited (“vinda international”, which together with its subsidiaries is referred to as the “group”, stock code: 3331), is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, vinda household paper (china) limited, has carried off the “outstanding award for green loan issuer” at hong kong sustainable finance awards 2020 organized by hong kong quality assurance agency (“hkqaa”). vinda secured the largest single green loan in the fast-moving consumer goods (“fmcg”) industry. the accolade is a recognition of the group’s perseverance and commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

hong kong sustainable finance awards 2020 is organized by hkqaa to recognize companies which have made significant contributions to sustainable development and have outstanding achievements in that regard. the award is also aimed at promoting a common understanding of green financing for sustainable development in hong kong and the region. at the end of last year, vinda succeeded in obtaining the “green finance pre-issuance stage certificate” issued by the hkqaa, thus becoming hong kong’s first fmcg company to raise a green loan. the green loan is used for eligible green projects in order to enhance the overall competitive advantage and business performance of the group and enable it to achieve the long-term goal of sustainable development.
