(3 april 2013 – hong kong) vinda international holdings limited (“vinda international” or the “company”, together with its subsidiaries collectively known as the “group”; stock code: 3331), a leading manufacturer and branded provider of quality household paper products in the prc and hong kong, is pleased to announce that the group’s jiangmen manufacturing base has been chosen as the “demonstration project” under the “cleaner production partnership programme” by hong kong productivity council, and received the maximum project funding of hk$160,000.
“cleaner production partnership programme”, a five-year programme launched by the hksar government since 2008-09, aims to encourage and subsidize hong kong-owned factories in guangdong province which make positive contribution to a cleaner environment in the region. demonstrating the effectiveness, actual costs and potential financial returns of cleaner production technologies through installation of equipment and modification of production processes, “demonstration projects” are among highest rank of all funding projects. the jiangmen manufacturing base increases the water recycling rate to 95% through its wastewater treatment processes, thereby reducing tap water usage and wastewater discharge, as well as enhancing cost-effectiveness.
